Are You Making Safety a Priority?
One of the most important aspects of working in the restoration business is safety. No matter what the job is, there are always safety precautions that need to be considered and acted on for both the client and yourself.
In R & R’s magazine, they address the safety concerns of different kinds of restoration jobs. The main three they discuss is water loss, bio-recovery, and asbestos.
You have to make sure to be careful in any water loss job or bio-recovery job. On a water loss job, the water could be contaminated with pathogens and in a bio-recovery job, disease is the number one concern. It is important to wear the necessary gear and use the right equipment. This seems even more important and relevant with Ebola and other diseases and viruses affecting the United States right now.
